Zynga on Thursday announced the release of Vampires: Bloodlust for iPhone and iPod touch, the mobile version of a game that has more than three million active users per month on such social networks as Facebook and MySpace. Players build their vampires' blood, health, stamina, and rage statistics as they create undead empires that battle others in the game.

Vampires: Bloodlust features a ranking ladder and a real-time newsfeed, along with new artwork, music, and sound effects for this version. The game is free, with premium versions costing US$10 to $40 available soon, according to Zynga.
