BBC to Release iPod Add-On For DAB Broadcasts

The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) on Monday said that it will release an add-on that will allow owners of iPods and other MP3 players to receive DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast). "It's important for to us to make sure that people can listen to digital radio on their own terms," a BBC spokesman said in a BBC News report.
The article also noted that the BBC is currently in the midst of feasibility studies, which would include the design and function of the product as well as how it would be manufactured and marketed. It may also be available for use with cell phones and car stereos, and could be made to work with more than just the BBC's digital radio broadcasts.
