DLO Introduces VentMount for iPhone and iPod touch [UPDATED]

Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) announced the immediate availability of VentMount for iPhone and VentMount for iPod touch on Tuesday. The mount allows the user to attach and position an iPhone or iPod touch to a car’s air vents for hands free operation in either vertical or horizontal operation.

"The VentMount features a secure mounting device that is hooked onto the car’s A/C vent. Even while mounted, you’ll find easy access to the side controls as well as the dock connector – so you can plug in and charge your iPhone without removing it from VentMount," DLO said.

"The VentMount is particularly useful for Cover Flow or following driving directions while on the road," DLO said. "In addition, when used in conjunction with a Bluetooth headset, users can easily see who’s calling and take phone calls without removing the phone."

In addition, the VentMount serves double duty as a belt clip and as a desktop stand for any flat surface.

The DLO VentMount for iPhone and VentMount for iPod touch, separate products, are immediately available and priced at US$24.99 each.

[UPDATE, 1 May 08: According to a DLO spokesperson, it doesn’t matter whether air coming out of the vent is heat or AC.]
