Coldplay Benefits Hurricane Victims With iTunes-Exclusive EP
Tuesday, September 13th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Coldplay on Wednesday released Fix You, a four-song EP sold exclusively through the iTunes Music Store. The band, BMG Publishing, Capitol Records/EMI and Apple will donate 100% of their proceeds to the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 Relief and the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences' MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund.
The US$2.99 EP features live and album versions of the song "Fix You," along with a version of "Pour Me" recorded live at the Hollywood Bowl in 2003 and "The World Turned Upside Down," which was culled from the studio sessions for the band's recently released album X & Y.
